'League of Legends' Unveils New Character in Animated Trailer

Riot Games has just debuted an animated trailer featuring a new playable character for its massively popular MOBA League of Legends that will seemingly be released as part of its Spirit Blossom 2020 event.

Title The Path, An Ionian Myth, the trailer follows a slain Ionian swordsman who finds himself in the afterlife, ultimately forced to confront his past. While the clip never reveals the hero's name, those following various rumors and leaks around the franchise will know that this new champion is expected to by Yone, the half-brother to Yasuo. According to the lore, Yasuo and Yone were once close, but when the former gets framed for the death of his master, Yone, bound by honor, challenged him to a duel. Yasuo came out as the victor, slaying Yone.

There's not much more information regarding the new champion at this point such as its abilities or play-style, but the trailer notes a date of July 22, so fans of the game should definitely mark their calendars and stay tuned.
